Home of BOH Title

Malaysia is one of the most vibrant and alluring parts of S.E.Asia. It is well-known for its fascinating fusion of Malay, Chinese, Indian and indigenous cultures all living in harmony, courtesy of a shared trading history and rich heritage. This diversity translates into an amazing culinary experience for anyone lucky enough to visit. Malaysia is also famous for its splendid beaches, tropical rainforests and of course the lush landscapes of Cameron Highlands, the home of BOH and where 70% of all tea in Malaysia is produced.

About BOH

Planting Perfection

For decades, Cameron Highlands has attracted visitors to its cool jungles, quaint Tudor-style houses, fresh vegetables and fragrant teas. Cameron Highlands is one of the country’s most fertile agricultural spots, possessing all the right attributes for growing outstanding tea, and is situated over 5,000 feet above sea level on the main mountain range of Malaysia. The true character of BOH tea is greatly influenced by the conditions at the tea estates; namely high altitude, low temperatures, abundant rainfall and acidic soil. With amazing landscapes and stunning panoramic views, the plantations are truly picturesque.

About BOH

Modern Architectural Marvel

The journey to the summit of the BOH Visitor Centre at Sungei Palas is via a circuitous roadway and a steep walking track. The award-winning building is dynamically cantilevered over an almost spiritual backdrop—a bold but simple gesture for a spectacular site. Its architecture gives it a ‘floating feeling’ that lends a modern note to this historic region. The centre is naturally ventilated with ample daylight penetration, thus needing little artificial lighting or cooling.

About BOH

Sipping Tea Overlooking Great Scenery

Both the Sungei Palas plantation and Boh Tea Garden have tea centres, a must-see for visitors to the region searching for a fresh moment of relaxation. Guests are able to get a firsthand look at how Malaysian teas are processed, while enjoying a day of leisure and discovery. The tea centre features an exhibition hall to assist in your tea education as well as souvenir and tea shop to take home some memories. The big outdoor terrace boasts a great view of the valley, simply perfect for appreciating the rolling green vistas that have been appropriated as ‘outdoor wallpaper’. The open balcony presents an opportunity to just lay back, reflect and enjoy the views after strolling through the estate fields and serves to welcome guests in a casual and informal way.
