Tristan’s Reserve, 95 Years in the Making

Tristan’s Reserve 95th Anniversary Limited Edition Tea was launched during BOH’s anniversary celebration, ’95 and Brewing for Tomorrow’, held at 1Utama in Petaling Jaya. The event, which took place from 17th to 21st July 2024, marked a major milestone in BOH’s history, highlighting its heritage while looking ahead to the future.

Tristan’s Reserve is a tribute to Datuk Tristan Russell, BOH’s former chairman, whose visionary leadership significantly shaped the brand. This limited-edition blend is crafted from some of the oldest tea bushes in Cameron Highlands, a choice that adds remarkable depth and significance to this exclusive tea.

The tea bushes, planted in 1929, are not only a living testament to BOH’s rich heritage but also a symbol of longevity. These mature plants have deep roots contributing to the unique character of the leaves they produce, imbuing the tea with a more complex flavour—delicate yet robust, with a distinctive aroma. By selecting leaves from these historic bushes, BOH has ensured that Tristan’s Reserve embodies the legacy of the Cameron Highlands’ tea gardens.

This decision to use the oldest tea bushes is also a statement of BOH’s commitment to sustainability and stewardship. It showcases the company’s respect for its tea-growing heritage, ensuring that the tea gardens continue to play a vital role in the future of the brand. The result is a tea that not only tastes exceptional but also tells a story—one of history, endurance, and the artistry of tea cultivation.

Tristan’s Reserve, with its bright and aromatic blend, offers tea enthusiasts the rare opportunity to experience a brew that is steeped in both tradition and craftsmanship. This blend underscores the care and attention to detail that has defined BOH’s commitment to producing world-class tea for 95 years.
