Celebrating International Tea Day

21st May 2021 will mark the 16th celebration of International Tea Day. What started off as a celebration in India has flowered into an annual celebration for tea-growing nations across the globe. In fact, in 2019, the United Nations General Assembly had recognised International Tea Day for tea’s cultural and economic importance in various countries as well as its significance in fighting hunger and poverty.

For us here at BOH, International Tea Day also gives us the opportunity to celebrate those behind the scenes of tea cultivation. For more than 90 years, it has been the people behind the scenes which have made BOH Malaysia’s preferred tea. Tea pickers, factory workers, tea tasters and administrators. They are crucial to our company and have more than earned praise and recognition.

As we continue on our path to becoming a sustainable tea producer and venture in new markets, the support and dedication of the entire BOH team will be paramount to our objectives. Each heartwarming cup of tea is the result of their commitment to excellence.

This International Tea Day, BOH wants to say a big Thank You to everyone involved in the tea industry.
